The three priorities identified by local people at the LINk in Salford event were as follows:

Another great second Annual event

The LINk in Salford held its second successful event on Saturday 17th April 2010 at the Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Salford where over 250 people attended. It also held pre community events prior to the second LINk Annual event with seldom heard communities such as the second largest Jewish community outside of London in Salford, young people, people from refugee and asylum seeking communities, homeless people and many more that have influenced the workplan for 2010 – 2011.

The top three priorities identified by local people in Salford include:

  • Access to local hospital services
  • Access to cancer care treatment
  • Treatment of cardiovascular disease

These will again be commissioned to three third sector organisations to carry further consultation with a wider range of stakeholders to provide recommendations on behalf of the LINk for 2010 – 2011.
